—  ABOUT

Soft Enamel Pins

Soft enamel pins are the most popular type of custom lapel pin. Colored enamel is filled into the recessed areas of a die-cast or stamped metal base and baked, so the metal outlines stay raised above the color. The result is a textured, dimensional pin with bright colors and crisp lines, at a lower cost than hard enamel.

Hesank makes custom soft enamel pins in zinc alloy, iron and brass, with gold, silver, black nickel, rose gold or antique plating, glitter, glow-in-the-dark and an optional clear epoxy dome for a smooth surface. They are ideal for company logos, events, clubs, fundraisers and retail merchandise. Need a flat, polished finish instead? Frequently Asked Questions

A soft enamel pin has colored enamel filled into the recessed areas of the metal, while the metal lines stay raised. You can feel the ridges when you run a finger across it. This textured look is the classic style for most custom enamel pins.

Yes. A clear epoxy dome can be added on top of soft enamel to give a smooth, glossy surface and extra protection. Without epoxy, the pin keeps its textured, raised-line look, which many designers prefer.

Custom soft enamel pins start from 50 pieces. Production takes 12–15 days after you approve the digital proof, rush service is available, and express delivery by DHL, UPS or FedEx usually takes another 3–6 days.

We create a steel mold from your artwork, die cast or stamp the metal base, plate it, then fill each color area by hand with enamel and bake it to cure. Finally the pins are inspected and fitted with backs such as butterfly clutches, rubber clutches or magnets.

Yes. Soft enamel skips the extra grinding and polishing steps of hard enamel, so it is usually the more budget-friendly option, especially for large quantities, events and giveaways.

Soft enamel pins can include glitter enamel, glow-in-the-dark colors, translucent colors over a textured base, printed details and cut-out windows. These effects make custom soft enamel pins stand out for collectors and fans.
