— ABOUT
Blank Coins
Blank challenge coins are ready-made coin bodies with no engraving — ideal for engravers, laser shops, promotional distributors and collectors who add their own design. Hesank stocks blanks in zinc alloy, brass and 304 stainless steel, 38 mm / 45 mm / 50 mm, 3 mm thick, with plain or reeded edges and 12 plating finishes. Because there is no custom mold, orders ship in about 7 days and the MOQ is just 50 pieces.

Frequently Asked Questions
Zinc alloy is the lowest cost and takes plating best; brass is about 30–40% more and gives a heavier, warmer feel; 304 stainless steel costs the most but never tarnishes and suits laser engraving. Exact pricing by size and quantity is shown in our coin price calculator.
Yes. Blanks ship with a smooth, flat face on both sides. Stainless steel and brass take laser marking well; zinc alloy is better suited to diamond-drag engraving or UV printing.
Common sizes (38 mm and 45 mm, gold and silver plating) are kept in stock for dispatch in about 7 days. Other sizes and finishes are produced to order in 12–15 days.
No. Blank coins use our standard dies, so there is no tooling charge regardless of quantity.
Yes. Reeded, rope and cross-cut edges, single-color enamel fill, coin capsules and velvet boxes are all available as add-ons.
Blank coins use an existing mold, so there is no mold fee and they can be personalized quickly, but the shape and relief stay the same for everyone. Fully custom challenge coins are made from your own artwork with a new mold, giving you a unique shape, 3D relief and enamel colors.
